Fall is upon us and thoughts are turning to the holiday's, for some this is a fun time of year for others it brings on panic, what to buy, preparing the house for holiday get togethers and of course what photo will i use for this years Christmas or Holiday cards. Well now is the time to book a session to get ahead of that holiday panic. Together we can come up with a creative photo that sends the message you want to express.

By now most of you have noticed i no longer have the BUY option on the galleries, if you didn't notice it's because you are one of my typical customers who calls me to place your order for you. It is for this very reason that i have decided to provide a more personal buying experience by meeting with you to place your order or simply doing the dirty work for you. You can call me or email me with your order. I appreciate your business and hope this doesn't create a problem for anyone.

And lastly keep in mind that my photographs are Copyright protected and I would appreciate if you would get permission before using any of my images on Facebook and elsewhere. If you are placing an order i would be happy to include a few images with my logo for you to share on FB with your friends and family for no charge and if not, for a minimal fee i can provide images for.

Amanda Westphal Candle Light Vigil : Bonnie and Dave sending prayers your way, can't begin to imagine what you guys are going through. Made it out to the vigil and took some photos so you and Amanda can see what an outpouring of love and prayers the community is sending your way. Just before sunset friday night i arrived at the "big hill" at the clinton township rec center. What I saw there were about 100 friends, family and members of the community coming out to offer up prayers and their support to you guys. Unfortunately it was very windy out and the group as a whole could not light their candles. However, that did not stop people from breaking off into smaller groups huddling together and doing what ever it took to keep their candles lit so that they could reflect on what happened and offer prayer. This gallery is a "snapshot" of that moment on friday night.

Cassandra : Jennifer and Jason I am thrilled i ended up getting some good shots after all. We will have to get that little sweetheart used to my big scary camera - I am still cracking up that i could talk to her and she was fine and then the minute the camera came out she just lost it. I love looking back thru her gallery watching her grow and change. Matt Landry Benefit Concert : While I did not know this young man it was apparent after walking into the Emerald Theatre on Sunday night that he was well loved and had touched a great many lives in his short time. As i walked around it became obvious that this was a celebration of Matt Landry and while am sure some tears were shed as people gathered to watch the ongoing slide-show of his life, the energy in the building was a tribute to the life that he must have lived. I would like to express not only my sympathy for the loss of this young man but also point out the joy he must have brought to so many. Thank you Steve for allowing me the opportunity to share in this event.

I left plenty of choices in the larger shots because i know people tend to pick the photograph they look best in and this way you will have options. I love to go on FaceBook and if you do too or you have a MySpace account and would like a photo to post there please email for a web friendly version, I don't mind sharing a few shots per family for this reason. If you would like to place your order on your own let me recommend the Lustre finish - it gives you the pop of a glossy print and the polished look and finger print free feel of a Matte finish print. If you have a special photo that you like and it is very colorful let me recommend the Metallic finish. I've got the Scoop! : The Macomb Township Fireflies with the help of "Scoop & Twist" hosted a fundraiser in which the M.T.F.D. Firefighters were honorary ice scream scoopers! Several engines were on locations for guests to sit in and look through. The fundraiser was a huge success and with the monies earned we can assist families in our communtiy who have gone through a medical or fire related emergency.

R.F.T.C. 2008 & 2009 "The Breast Cancer Walk" : 2009 - What a great tradition we have started - doing something good always makes you feel better and with all the terrible news about the economy it was nice to put things in perspective and just be thankful for our good health and good friends. New to the walk this year was Tina's friend Melissa whom i hope got as much out of the day as we all did. As tradition dictated we finished the day off at Duggan's. Hope to see you all again next year. 2008 - Ladies, what a great day!, The weather was beautiful and it was fun to get together and support this cause. THE 365 PROJECT : I was inspired to do this "Self Portrait A Day" project after I ran acrossed Andi Tippies gallery link on an Mpix forum. The challenge is to take a photograph everyday for a year in which at least part of myself appears. For me the challenge will be to get comfortable in front of the camera again. It hasn't always been a problem, I used to love being in front of the camera. As a little girl I was a model, as a teenager I appeared in countless photos acting a fool and goofing around with my friends, but as an adult I began to develop a critical view of myself and I started to stay away from cameras all together. While I don't live in a quaint little town with a majestic mountain backdrop, I hope to bring my viewers the best that Macomb Township has to offer. My goal is to entertain you thru my words and photos while providing my kids with a legacy of who I am and what I am all about. Kids @ park 8/12/2008 : I recently gave some words of wisdom to a fellow photographer who had posted a photo of her young boys, one crying, the other seemed to be comforting him, she was disappointed in her photo shoot because she felt she didn't get what she had envisioned. I told her that she had actually caught a great moment and that no amount of begging or posing her kids could have produced such a great image. She responded that upon further review I was right she had caught a special moment. Well I had to take my own advice this week when I shot my own four monsters at the park. Are they mantle piece works of art? Hell no, but the kids had fun and the results were misbehavin' kids who love each other.

November Training - Mock Meth Lab Explosion : At this training session the tower was set up to represent an explosion at a meth lab. There were 12 victims (played by EMS students) throughout the building and property to be discovered and they actually received the full experience and were transported by MedStar to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital Emergency Department where the were seen and treated as if they were in fact injured. Special guests to this training session were Ray Township Fire who brought their Engine 4 to the scene and who's personnel set up a mock wash-down station for those contaminated by chemicals. Also new to this training were Fire Corps members who set up a rehab tent and were there to provide refreshments and blood pressure testing as well as any other service that might be needed when a scene like this occurs. The coordinated effort provided a great learning experience for all who attended.

Macomb Twp. Tree Lighting Ceremony - 11/28/07 : It was a chilly evening but that didn't stop some 800 people from attending the annual Macomb Township Tree Lighting Ceremony. Special guests of honor Santa Claus, Christmas Carol & Sam worked together to pull the Candy Cane lever that lit the tree. M-59 Truck Fire - 7/31/07 : July 31st, 2007, Station 3 responded to a Truck Fire on M-59 just west of North Ave. Fires are not a common accurance in our area so to come on scene with flames like this is unusual, of course it was close to home and there wasn't much traffic to fight at 6:10 in the morning.
